1. Who we are
This website, sustainesg.io (the "Site"), and the analytics, scores, reports, and other content published on it (together, the "Service") are operated by RMC Technologies Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14545818, with its registered office at 29 Lincoln's Inn Fields, London, WC2A 3EE, United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our").
"Sustain ESG Lab" is a trading name of RMC Technologies Limited. References to Sustain ESG Lab in these terms and on the Site are references to RMC Technologies Limited.

2. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
3. Nature of the Service — no investment advice
The Service provides ESG (environmental, social, and governance) research, scores, signals, and related analytics derived from publicly available and third-party data. The Service is provided for general information and research purposes only.
In particular:
- Nothing on the Site constitutes, or should be construed as, investment advice, a personal recommendation, an offer, or a solicitation to buy, sell, hold, or otherwise deal in any security, fund, or other financial instrument.
- Labels used in the Service — including scores, level classifications (such as "Very strong", "Strong", "Moderate", "Weak", "Very weak"), and action tags (such as "Add", "Watch", "Hold", "Trim", "Avoid") — are shorthand descriptions of the outputs of our research methodology applied to ESG data. They are not recommendations to any person to take any investment action, and they do not take into account your objectives, financial situation, or needs.
- We are not authorised or regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) or by any other financial services regulator, and the Service is not a regulated investment service.
- The value of investments can go down as well as up, and past ESG performance or scoring is not a reliable indicator of future outcomes. Before making any investment decision, you should conduct your own research and, where appropriate, seek advice from an adviser who is authorised to give it in your jurisdiction.
Assumption of risk. If you choose to use the Service, or any data, score, signal, or other output published on it, in connection with any investment or other financial decision, you do so entirely at your own risk. You are solely responsible for any such decision, for evaluating the merits and risks of any investment, and for any resulting gain or loss, and you agree that no such decision will be made in reliance on the Service.
4. Methodology and data
Scores, signals, and other outputs are the result of a proprietary methodology applied to data obtained from third-party sources, including news and incident data, disclosed climate commitments, exchange and reference data, and company disclosures. Attribution for material data sources is shown on the Site alongside the relevant outputs, together with per-source data freshness information where available.
You acknowledge that:
- Outputs are opinions produced by a methodology, not statements of fact about any company;
- Scores are relative measures within the universe of entities we cover, and may not be comparable with scores or ratings produced by other providers;
- Third-party data may contain errors, omissions, or delays that carry through into our outputs; and
- We may change our methodology, coverage universe, thresholds, and presentation at any time without notice.
5. Permitted use
You may access and view the Site for your own personal or internal business information purposes. Except as expressly permitted by us in writing, you must not:
- scrape, crawl, harvest, or systematically extract data, scores, or other content from the Site, whether manually or by automated means;
- reproduce, redistribute, sell, license, or make available any part of the Service to third parties, including embedding our scores or signals in your own products or reports;
- use the Service to train, fine-tune, or evaluate machine-learning models;
- remove or obscure any attribution, disclaimer, or proprietary notice; or
- use the Site in any way that breaches applicable law or infringes anyone's rights.

6. Intellectual property
All intellectual property rights in the Site and the Service — including the methodology, scores, signals, report formats, software, text, graphics, and the "Sustain ESG Lab" name and branding — are owned by or licensed to RMC Technologies Limited. No rights are granted to you other than the limited right to view the Site in accordance with these terms.
Third-party data incorporated in the Service remains the property of its respective owners and is used under licence or in accordance with its terms.
7. Third-party sites and content
The Site may contain links to third-party websites or reference third-party data and frameworks. These are provided for convenience only. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party sites or content, and a link or reference does not imply endorsement.
8. Availability and changes
The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice, and we do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
In this section, the "Protected Parties" means RMC Technologies Limited and its directors, officers, members, shareholders, employees, contractors, and agents, together with the founders of the Sustain ESG Lab venture, and any successor entity to which the Service is transferred.
Subject to the first paragraph of this section, to the maximum extent permitted by law:
- the Protected Parties exclude all liability for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Site or the Service, or your reliance on any content or output published on it, including any investment or commercial decision made in reliance on the Service; and
- the Protected Parties will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of data, or loss of opportunity, even if aware of the possibility of such loss.
You agree that you will not bring any claim personally against any individual Protected Party in respect of the Site or the Service, and that any claim you may have lies solely against RMC Technologies Limited. Each Protected Party may rely on and enforce this section.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. Your continued use of the Site after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Site, are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
